Kingston Dub Club Sundays

Kingston Dub Club is the weekly high point of roots reggae revival sessions in Kingston.  The venue is situated in the hills above Kingston and offers a breath taking view of the city. It is actually the home of its host, Gabre Selassie, owner and operator of Rockers Sound Station. It has an intimate yard where the wall of speakers and the DJ booth is situated and it has a spacious deck bar in the back. The crowd is diverse and international. Here’s where you can meet up with visiting reggae fans from around the world. To actually talk with someone, you’d have to go to deck where you can still hear the music but can also engage in conversation. But there is of course no need to do this because you can just relax and enjoy the mesmerizing dub music.

Think raw dancehall until 4 pm, local and international dancers and entertainers and a smart, well dressed audience. Mojito Mondays and Uptown Mondays make for a great combination and people generally go to Mojito Mondays first and to Uptown Mondays later on.

The dress code is casual (leaning more towards casually elegant for the women), and ladies enter free of cost. The selection of music (mainly contemporary, dancehall and hip-hop) is usually pretty good. On those nights when the club gets really 'hot' the small area can get somewhat crowded, but unless you have an aversion to occasional bodily contact with others this shouldn't be a problem.

Club Privilege - Plush Saturdays

Club Privilege is the most plush and exquisite club In all of Jamaica. Angel white decor with mood-light laced walls. A privilege is described as a special advantage enjoyed by a particular group. Club Privilege was built exactly for that purpose. We wanted to be a club, but with a different vibe. Something that has never been attempted, yet completely possible. We wanted to carry brands not seen everyday at any given bar.
